Whether you’re seeking to integrate behaviour into your practice, or thinking about specialising in this growing field, the behaviour stream promises a range of dynamic, practical presentations.
Keynote speaker Martin Godbout (Canada) will be talking about why behaviour is a core competency in practice, detecting puppy behaviour problems, canine aggression, canine learning, memory and emotions, stress management in cats and integrating behaviour in general practice. The behaviour stream also features sessions from Trepheena Hunter, Kersti Seksel, Jacqui Ley, Andrew O’Shea, Brendan Carmel, Isabelle Resch, Gary Wilson, Sarah Goldsmidt and Sean Wensley (UK).
If you’re looking for a simple approach to risk assessment in the aggressive dog, stick around for the Friday workshop, led by Martin Godbout. Participants will learn a ten-step evaluation process to assess risks posed by the aggressive dog. There will be a chance to test your new skills by assessing a range of virtual cases of canine aggression. Approach these challenging cases with confidence.
Join us for the annual AVBIG dinner on Tuesday 6 June at the Wharf Hotel. This is the perfect opportunity to catch up with colleagues who have an interest in behaviour, and swap notes over a casual three-course dinner.
