International delegates who are members of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), British Veterinary Association (BVA), Canadian Veterinary Medical Association (CVMA), New Zealand Veterinary Association (NZVA) or South African Veterinary Association (SAVA) can attend the AVA Annual Conference at AVA member rates.
All international delegates are required to supply their membership association and membership number at the time of registering.
All new graduates must be members of the AVA and no more than 3 years out of University. New Graduates must supply their membership number to receive discount rates.
Practice managers and vet nurses who manage practices can join the Veterinary Business Group of the Australian Veterinary Association to receive a member discount to AVA CPD Conferences. Find out more or contact VBG on 02 9431 5010 or email email@example.com.
Carer's pass - parents room - child minding
We are delighted to introduce a complimentary Carer’s Pass for delegates attending all AVA conferences and events. This will give the Carer access to the conference, exhibition and sessions and allows parents/delegates nursing children to be provided with assistance. The pass does not include catering for carers. To request a pass please contact Kandy Musgrave, National Events Manager - email: firstname.lastname@example.org. There is no need to register online. Your Carer’s Pass can be collected at the registration desk upon arrival.
Please note there are no arrangements for child care during the Conference. We suggest you check with your accommodation provider who may be able to assist you further with babysitting services during your stay.
There are 4 parenting room at BCEC. Three of them are located on the ground floor in close proximity to the Plenary and Exhibition. They include toilets, a baby feeding area (couches), sink, microwave and changing table. Parents can have baby bottles heated at Merivale’s or Olio’s Restaurant. There are also change tables in all of the accessible bathrooms.
All delegates have complimentary access to the trade show extravaganza.

AVA members, students/new graduates - $65 per day. Happy Hour an additional $75.

Conditions of entry:
The AVA will send practices an excel spreadsheet post event where details of each delegate who attended each day should be completed and returned to email@example.com to claim Vet Ed points.
Accompanying guests must be accompanied by registered delegate. Scientific sessions are not included.
Cancellations must be received in writing to the Conference Secretariat (E: firstname.lastname@example.org) by Friday 27 April 2018. Cancellations received prior to 27 April 2018 will receive a full refund minus $150 administration fee. Cancellations after 27 April 2018 will not be refunded. Substitute delegates will be accepted.
Please note that our policy is to only issue a letter of invitation to an international delegate once registration and full payment has been received. A letter of invitation from the conference does not guarantee entry in to Australia. Please email email@example.com to request a letter of invitation after your registration and payment has been submitted and attaching your paid invoice.

The AVA takes photos of this event. By attending you give permission to use images taken at the conference, as well as any written comments on our evaluation forms in advertising and promoting the AVA.

The AVA Annual Conference offers delegates 27 hours of continuing professional development over the full week.
To have your attendance at the conference recognised for VetEd points you must include your AVA membership number when registering for the conference for automatic awarding of the points to your VetEd statement.
Delegates can earn extra points by attending one of the post-conference workshops and field trips, or by completing trials at the National Veterinary Examination stand.
VetEd points are correct at the time of printing, however points are subject to change without notice.
Delegates may use Provet Plus points but must check they have sufficent points available prior to registering. You must have sufficient points to cover the full registration. Part payment is not accepted.
