The most important clinical skill with Cindy Adams

It’s said that communication is the most important clinical skill, but did you know this is backed by evidence? Cindy Adams will share evidence-based recommendations around using communication to improve clinical outcomes.

Professor Cindy Adams is best known for her pioneering work in the field of veterinary communication. Based at the Department of Veterinary Clinical and Diagnostic Sciences at the University of Calgary, Professor Adams literally wrote the book on veterinary clinical communication, and her work is the basis of communication skills taught in many Australian veterinary schools.

Professor Adams’ work has focused on communication education, veterinary-client communication in large and small animal clinical contests, animal welfare, companion animal death and human grief.

Professor Adams will be speaking in business, education and industry streams and delivering a plenary session on the science of vet talk on Tuesday, May 7.
